Acrobat Reader lets you view PDF (Portable Document Format) documents.
You can download this viewer free of charge for all platforms from Adobe's Web site at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.
If you need to read a PDF document and have not acquired Adobe Acrobat, you would use Acrobat Reader (free of charge) to do so. Acrobat Reader can be used to view, navigate and print a PDF document. Depending on the version and type of browser you are using, Acrobat documents will either be viewed in a separate window (using the Acrobat Reader) or in the browser window (if an Acrobat plug-in is active in your browser's environment).
